These terms & conditions are written by Aimee Peacock, founder of WomanKind Holistic Health, 48 High Street, Northallerton, North Yorkshire, DL7 8EQ under the website; www.womankindholistichealth.co.uk. Aimee is a fully qualified Midwife - NMC pin 08B0386E. The business is fully insured to provide both Hypnobirthing and a variety of pregnancy complementary therapies and body massage for non-pregnant people, with FEDANT - register entry number 13478.

Payment for Hypnobirthing services is initiated with a minimum £50 deposit required on booking via the website through Stripe. The remainder is paid via bank transfer and details will be sent to you via email. The remainder of the payment is required anytime up to a week prior to course commencing. Payment plans can be arranged on request. There is also an option to pay in full and also to use clearpay to spread the payment over a number of months.
Payment for complementary therapies deposit (or optional full payment) is made online via Squarespace Acuity Scheduling. The remainder of any payments will be made using Square point of sale or bank transfer on my premises at time of appointment. A minimum 20% deposit for any treatment or signature package is required on booking. This is non-refundable due to the welfare of my business and secures your appointment. I run a cash-free business due to my bank provider being a fully online service (no way of paying cash in). Full payment can also be taken at point of booking through Acuity Scheduling. This will be non-refundable in cases of cancellation.

If you cancel your planned treatment within 48 hours of your appointment and you have paid in full, no refund will be provided. If you cancel more than 48 hours prior, then your 20% deposit will not be refunded but the remainder of the payment will be refunded via the same method it was paid.
If you cancel within 48 hours of your appointment and only the deposit has been paid, the deposit will not be refunded.
If you cancel a Hypnobirthing course within 7 days and payment has been made, no refund will be given. If you cancel a hypnobirthing course before 7 days of it commencing and you have paid in full a refund will be provided minus the £50 deposit. If you cancel a Hypnobirthing course and only the deposit is paid, the deposit will not be refunded. This is due to the time and effort it takes setting up a course and late notice to fill a space.

Complementary therapy appointments can be rescheduled up to 48 hours prior to your appointment and no later due to the welfare of my business and refilling that valuable appointment slot.
Rescheduling will be subject to my limited availability and cannot be guaranteed.
If you wish to reschedule a Hypnobirthing course, this is subject to availability and may be at a stage in your pregnancy that is less effective. If you wish to downgrade to a Masterclass and you have paid in full for a full course, no part refund will be issued.

My services do not claim to ‘cure’ therefore are not guaranteed to have a positive effect. Further complementary therapy treatments may be required to have a desired effect.
With ‘complementary’ therapies, they should never replace medical maternity or medical care, but work alongside to ‘complement’. I also will not make a diagnosis of conditions or disorders. It is best practice to make your own health care professional aware of additional services you are attending and medical advice should always be sought by your midwife, GP or obstetrician or whoever else is your regular health care provider. Although I am happy to talk to you as a midwife regarding general midwifery topics if you are pregnant, I am not to replace your own assigned midwife. I will redirect you to your own midwife for advice if needed.
Hypnobirthing requires practice and commitment following classes to have the best effect, so ownership needs to be made.

I am proud of my qualifications, reputation and professional standards as a midwife registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Council, but also as a therapist accredited by the FHT (Federation of Holistic Therapists). If after consultation or if your circumstances have changed since filling in the consultation form, I will not carry out the treatment if I deem it unsafe for you (or your baby if you are pregnant). You will be offered a refund for the treatment.
PLEASE NOTE - If you do not disclose a pregnancy condition or contraindication and harm occurs, I cannot not be held responsible.

Please read the PRIVACY POLICY available on the website. Regarding complementary therapy treatments, a thorough consultation form is required at the point of booking. The information gathered is for the safety of you (and your baby if you are pregnant) and the appropriateness of the treatment. Data is stored securely and never passed on to other providers, including NHS services.
I run extremely confidential services and you can be confident that no information is shared, however in extreme circumstances, if I feel the safety of you and your baby is at considerable risk of harm, I have a duty of care as a midwife to report my findings to the appropriate professional.

I run a zero-tolerance business. I will not tolerate unacceptable behaviour from clients / partners, whether physical or verbal. You will be asked to leave the premises if I feel uncomfortable or threatened and I will not hesitate to contact the police if I feel appropriate to do so.

Please arrive on time or no earlier than 5 minutes to your complementary therapy appointment as I may be preparing the studio following a previous appointment. If the front door to the building is open, please take a seat in the lounge and I will collect you from there. The front door is locked if out of normal hours for the security of myself and others who may be in the building. If it is locked, please send me a message on 07734819596 and I will come and let you in. However, please bare in mind my phone is usually set to ‘do not disturb’ on treatment days.
If you arrive more than 10 minutes late for your appointment your treatment will be cut short in order for me to run on time for other clients. If you are more than 15 minutes late, your appointment will be cancelled and no refund given. Please be mindful of any parking issues there may be in busy periods in the High Street and allocate time for this. You will receive parking instructions on the confirmation email on booking and again on the reminder email.
